our vision
We are caring, curious, and collaborative,
so that people and places can be their best.
The design and construction process can be complex and overwhelming. With leadership from principal landscape architect, Bianca Koenig, we’ll be by your side, with calmness, resourcefulness, and efficiency.
We help turn dirt into joy, through the process of three key steps:
-
Large or small, simple or complex, the success of every project starts with listening-- listening to client, community, and context.
-
We craft a distinctive vision for your project— the all-encompassing concept which solves your specific goals and objectives with authenticity, clarity, and purpose.
-
From kick-off meeting through final construction we provide consistent, clear, and effective communication. This includes verbal, graphic, and contract document preparation for bidding, permitting, and construction.

Bianca E. Koenig, PLA, ASLA
PRINCIPAL LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT
(she/her/hers) is a bi-racial, first-generation American who was raised in a noisy and vibrant family of five kids. There was always a never ending flow of local and international visitors amidst a major demo or home repair project. In addition to honing her skills for tolerance, grit, and resilience, Bianca’s childhood instilled the power of design and essential need for community.
Bianca’s over 20 years of design experience includes meeting the exacting standards of high-end residential and international hospitality projects at Bennitt Design Group; Followed by proven design versatility and comprehensive site planning expertise for a diverse array of public agency and private development projects at Wallace Group.

Phoebe S. Parros
MANAGING DIRECTOR
(she/her/hers) is from a family that includes Afro-Caribbean Rastafarians and Italian-American sausagemakers. Surrounded by divergent thinkers, Parros remains a stalwart agnostic—all perspectives are possible and valid. Although this deliberative thinking-style can make deciding on takeout difficult, it yields a first-string team player. Parros has worked for a host of farmers, herders and cheesemakers across the U.S. and France and holds a master’s in Agroecology from the Institut supérieur d'agriculture Rhône-Alpes. She is interested in multifunctional landscapes that yield environmental, social, and nutritional benefits.

Tara Feld
SENIOR DESIGNER
(she/her/hers) is a second generation fine artist who sees and transforms spaces with a detailed yet visionary approach. With a strong eye for design, color, and composition, she is driven by a love for beautiful materials: natural, manufactured, or recycled. Resourceful in nature, Tara is always on the hunt for distinctive textures, forms, and antiques to set apart client projects and vitalize her own home. Her design intuition always keeps her looking outside the box for innovative solutions that go beyond the expected.
An original thinker with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from CalArts, her portfolio spans over 20 years in the industries of art, design, landscape design, and film.
